It shouldn't come as a surprise that, in a film about sex-play, director Alis Locanta plays a game or two with the viewer and his or her expectations. He begins "Possessione" with an engaging bit of tease as long-haired and flirtatious Taissia A (making her Sexart film debut) dances provocatively during the title sequence. But this isn't simply tease, the artist is also telegraphing a subtle clue. Next he drops in a sinister bit of foreshadowing as the camera follows grim and intent Franck Franco down hallways and into a room containing a surprise. Another cut and it's a beautiful, sunshiny day and two lovers — Taissia and Franck — stroll, flirt, and kiss without a care in the world. "Possessione" then details a night of kink that boasts elements of dominance, submission, bondage, and domination that's shot through with passion and enwrapped in romance. On the surface, this is a dominance scenario, but why is the lover so delighted with her position? And why is the master so intent on pleasing her, rather than satisfying his own selfish needs? That's another skillful bit of Locanta's subtle gamesmanship — he uses the conventions of kink to reveal the entirely wholesome and inspiring romantic bond this loving couple share. Who's in control? Franck as he fingers bound and helpless Taissia's pussy? Or Taissia when she sucks Franck's cock and licks his balls? And what about the sizzling multi-position fuck that follows? Viewers with an interest in the unconventional are urged to submit to "Possessione." No safe word required.
